From looking at this I assume these are barbed.

Yea, and that's not much room to work with. Good luck with the fuel issues, I thought most pumps had check valves built into them?

Nah in boost I don't have an issue, my car has run over 80psi no problem at full boost.

Its at idle where the issue is, low load in general, before the 2nd pump kicks on. When the second pump runs, there isn't an issue.

I know, its not much room at all, not sure what to do now. I am not sure how big the check valves are, so I dunno.

I think the wally 255's do have a check valve built in. But the pump I am using from blaqops is like a GT500 pump or something strange.

They will be here in the morning. Can't afford to lose two days if I want to make PG, saturday delivery ouch! But MUST FIX EVO!

Normally I do all black/boring stuff as I like stock appearing shit, but they were out of stock until july, so I went balla blue :)

I am officially throwing in the towel.... (edit: for PG only, not the evo in full haha)

I had to do some work (as in work, not car work lol) over the weekend and that coupled with fathers day = no time for car work.

Also I was going to take friday off and next monday to prepare for proving grounds and recover :) That got axed as work is INSANE right now. So my tune is just not ready at all and neither is the car mechanically and this week just isn't going to give me a ton of time to finish it off.

So I am not about to try and rush the car and go to PG to beat the piss out of it with a tune that isn't really ready, just ain't happening. As much as I would love to go, I want my first track experience to be fun and not filled with agony and a tow home.

Good luck everyone else though :) I will be heading to slippery falls in the coming weeks though.

Good decision, but what do you need to do?

I thought it was good to go on pump gas?

Good decision, but what do you need to do?

I thought it was good to go on pump gas?

No, we had to make tuning changes to lower load as I was hitting 330 load at 24psi on pump gas. So we had to do injector and MAF rescaling then it still was hitting too high of load so we were going to do some more rescaling and also raise base idle pressure to add fuel and in turn reduce load further.

Our goal was to have load be around 275 on pump gas where I was so we have room on it for when I do the E85 tune.

Why do we need to lower load you might ask, well there is a hard coded load cap at 360 in the ECU, so you cannot go higher, so we are trying to make sure we don't hit that.

So when we tried raising base pressure is when we found an issue with something (not sure yet) and realized pressure wasn't increasing enough. So until I figure out the fuel pressure problem and get a full retune on pump I wouldn't be ready.

In theory I could revert to my old setup that I had last week and refine that tune a bit, but I don't want to waste my tuners time or my money for a tune that is just temporary. I'd rather fix everything and get it running properly.

Yes, true, but self induced...I didn't need to go this far with the car :)

I have learned that running this power on a 4 cylinder takes a lot of extra care/time to get right...so I am trying to take my time.

I still feel like progress is being made...I'll get it soon I think.
