Why do you say it will keep breaking? There is no reason my setup shouldn't last for at least 30k at my power levels.
If the tranny/driveline has issues, I could see that, but motor should be good for plenty of miles.
Shit happens in the modding game at these levels. I've accepted that to a degree.
But I am not making extreme power by any means, so I should be able to enjoy it.

All modified cars are needy and require extra maintenance, simple as that. Every car also has it's unique weak points. If you want something as reliable as stock...keep it stock, no matter what it is.

If I did sell and by a vette, I would for sure be modding that too and I am sure I would break it. I would agree that it would prolly break less though haha.

Well I know modding a car will make it less reliable. But it just seems like YOU keep having shitty luck with this evo. Thats all iam saying. you wrecked one built motor not saying its your fault but you did go thur one built motor. Just hate to see this one blow up to. It seems like its getting fixed more then its being driven. Just saying it sounds like you keep having stupid problems.

I guess to me theres a point where I wouldnt want to sink any more money into a project like that, regardless of the power it was putting down. Id return it back to stockish and try and get rid of it.
Sure all modded cars can break, but when you are driving it only a few weeks out of the year.. thats not something id consider even fun to deal with.
As B says, to each their own. :)

I am not disagreeing with you, trust me, I am one more broken piece away from deciding to sell it.
Like I said, I go back and forth on it. If it doesn't run the majority of this summer, its gone. I have decided that already.

It will be there, I have faith :) There was a garage sale nearby selling midgets, picked one up there. Very handy.

Seriously the worst issue I had was the power bleeder for brakes...ugh. Shawn (simulatedwood) was the man and came over to help with it because I am retarded. Once he got it all lined up I finished without issue.
Felt really good to drive it again. For whatever reason, I have this weird feeling while driving that every time I push the clutch in it won't pop back up lol.

Paranoia doesn't escape the modded.
I still have DSM syndrome where I smell for coolant and oil every time I stop. I always freak out when I hear AC condensation dripping/sizzling on the headers after I get out of the car. It sucks.
Glad to hear you car is back running again!
