I will probably just have DB modify my AMS one to have a 3.5" MAF, should be relatively cheap and reuses my intake so the design will be the same.

new intake!
lol. As if I knew how to weld aluminum or had any chance in hell of figuring out how to get the BOV pipe at the correct angle. I'm sure that Primo will buy those parts and then they can make it pretty.
Nothing that I'm talented enough to create would look right in my engine bay.

If you use a coupler and build a new MAF section then it isn't going to leave much room for a filter. I suppose you could switch to a CAI design. It doesn't look all that trivial to me but I don't work with metal.

I think Danny said they would basically cut part of my intake off. Then weld on a trasition to 3.5" and have just part of it be 3.5" not the whole thing. Just the MAF area is all that matters.
If Primo isn't too bad a price I might just use them, we will see.

Yeah, I meant just buy those and have Primo or whoever cut to fit and weld together. Should be simple enough, especially if they have the AMS intake to use as a template.

Totally. They said they didn't have any of that in stock but would order it up when I brought the AMS in.

Remember how my car started blowing smoke on the dyno shortly after overfilling the oil? Remember how last weekend I commented that my car felt so smooth that I was wondering if it had a boost leak?
Dave pointed me to a thread on the EvoX forum where two BBX's went down with those symptoms.
Time to look for a how-to on turbo swaps.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news (not for sure though, lol).

Link to said thread? Wonder if there's oiling problems or something....
