Hey do you have any graphs with boost plots?

I do but I didn't want to post them. It's bad. The tubular, MX1s and ported everything had a negative impact on spool. I only had a 2psi drop at a stock redline but at 9k it was 5. I might have leaks. I dunno.

Nice numbers!

Has anyone tried a simple MBC on an X? Wonder if it'd help at all with the loss of psi. Or is the turbo just running out of breath up there?

Either way, still a killer setup with great numbers, congrats again!

Don't be ashamed! 25psi @4000rpm is dandy for that turbo! Having ported *everything* like you have will make it hard for the turbo to hold boost up top--don't worry about it, but you definitely start to look close at 7500rpm and say, 'man if I just had an extra 2psi I'd have +20whp (or whatever)....this is why I did the hybrid mbc/bcs thing, we'll see if it pays off.

Again, sweet results from a great setup! With any luck I'll be in that ballpark down the road.

Great work! Finally! I bet it feels good to finally have a proper tune! Congrats.

Don't worry about the drop in boost, mine tanks the same way...drops from 37-29psi for me, so your drop isn't so bad, lol.

I'd blame the spool on the tubular, but honestly I bet you made an extra 15+whp from it. Worth it if you ask me :)

Now time to stop spending money, paying off debt and enjoy the car...welcome to my world if you weren't here already ;)

Now time to stop spending money

Not quite yet due to the oil burning. There also seems to be an exhaust leak at the turbo to downpipe connection, so yet another reason to have the turbo pulled. At least I can stop spending money on fueling.

They drop boost much worse with an MBC. With an MBC in there it would probably be a straight taper from 30psi down to 20psi. He could maybe try to use an MBC in there with the BCS to try to have more duty cycle to play with liek Schiedes did, but there might not be much left in that turbo in the upper RPMs anyways.

I think boost is dropping so much just because the head flows so well and the motor is just gobbling it all up. The X's head flows great in stock form, when you port it with oversized valves I am sure in the upper RPMS it can ingest a shit load.

There have been a handful of all-out BBX builds while I was busy sorting the car. One guy is running 35psi and making more torque but I think the hp number is as high as its going to go.

The 044 on a BAP should be able to handle a Black, which is the only upgrade that I'd consider.
