This is what I was thinking as well, but that wouldn't explain why it wouldn't start on an incline.
Maybe the incline had nothing to do with it...just random chance that when he rolled it down to flat ground the engine had enough time to cool down by that point.
Did you try any other warm (not hot) starts on flat ground?

scheides: Going back to stock is the last-resort option. I don't see it as anything else.
Kracka/Shawn: I tried pumping the pedal once but not flooring it. The flooding possibility is definitely there given the fuel pressure situation. I wasn't aware that the pressure was so high until I checked the gauge this morning.
Dave, it's a different regulator. It might be possible to buy it and drill different holes in it for mine. I need to call them this morning about that MAF flange anyway (out of stock for two weeks).

I see it as a great option actually. Sell the (no offense) piece of crap dual pump hangar and replace it with a stock hangar and pump setup. If that isn't enough to keep your surge tank/Bosch fed then add a BAP to it. Simple = good and I bet you could make a lot of money back trading your FB/BO hangar for stock + cash.

I am stubborn, huh? I get that way about troubleshooting because I also see it as a learning opportunity. I know more about fuel systems than the average Joe at this point. That trait made me pretty sharp in the IT field but it's not always expedient.
Dave, MAP is selling me a bracket for cheap. Hopefully I can affix my regulator to it in some fashion. It should be an easier place to start from, anyway!

I didn't realize how tiny the afpr that comes with the MAP kit was...the bracket won't be of any use to me. I am going to have to run the thing over to the space under the conical filter, where I currently have a catch can. That catch can should really be relocated somewhere in the back of the engine bay, anyway...there's just not a great spot for it.
Well, I guess I'll get some opinions at the newb mod day tomorrow. I'm sure there's a spot for it somewhere.

I know this will make most of you laugh, but I'm proud that I was able to make a bracket for my afpr tonight. Stuff like this almost never works out for me. Dremel ftw.

Good job! If it works, it works! Now just get it powdercoated at Primo and it'll look perfect.
