It's actually pretty good on e85. But on pump, yes idle was not all that great. I'll probably make money in the end off this switch, so it was a no brainer. They are sized better for me, so will idle and drive better (especially on pump), they still leave plenty of head room, and also will be less prone to e85 corrosion than the 2000 sized ones are.

Cool tuning logs! Wish I had a log like that from when I had my tune. I received the tune file but it doesnt show results like that.

Little Update. Got the updated tune in. He turned up the duty cycle on the boost controller and didn't make any difference at all. So I started to wonder what spring (or springs since these can have up to 3 springs installed) did I actually have in my WG. Looked in my tool box and found the 7psi spring that originally came in it, and I found the 5psi spring that I bought along with a 10psi spring, that I thought I installed together. Also found an 11psi spring that I didn't even know I had.
SO I pulled the WG off and cracked it open. Only one spring was installed (assume it's the 10psi spring). Damn, this whole time I've been thinking I had both the 10 and 5 in there so I had 15psi of spring in there. Dumb mistake :(
What I find very interesting is how it tapers down to 20psi, and they always say the general rule of thumb is you can only go about twice your WG spring. So that pretty much seems right on the money in this case.
So I'm going to hit up Vlad to see what he prefers I put in there. With the springs I have, I can combine them to make 15psi, 16psi, 18psi, or 21psi. I'd like to just throw the 21psi combo in there because why not I don't plan to boost lower than that. But I think Vlad wants less because he'd like to have a safe pump gas tune which would be closer to the 16-18psi range.
So Andrew you had asked why the boost is tapering the other day, this might be the smoking gun!

You could use a vacuum puller to determine exactly what you had, but makes sense on the 10psi spring. Something like 16lb spring makes sense if you want run 30 or less on e85, but I get the desire to run a higher spring if you're only running ethanol going forward.

I have no idea how to do the vacuum puller thing. But I went back in this thread to way back when I bought some of these parts. You can clearly see on the WG package that this came with a 7psi spring. Then you can see photos of the new springs I bought (10psi and 5psi). So I think it's pretty clear to me now.
I'd like to be able to turn it up to 35psi if possible. So that has me leaning towards the 18psi combo since the "multiply by two" rule of thumb keeps me in that range. I'm guessing Vlad will want the 16psi combo for safer pump tune. But truth is this car will never see pump. In the extremely extremely extremely extremely rare case I have to fill it up with pump, that'd probably be some situation where it's some sort of long road trip and there's not e85 around, and so I have no choice. And in that case, I'll just stay out of boost.
That's my thoughts for now at least

Just run the highest spring possible in that case if you're staying out of boost on pump. Why even get close to the 2x rule imho, easier on your WG if the spring is higher.

I'll have a dial that I can turn boost up and down with. So I suppose it'll work fine if I have it set to lowest setting all the time and that's around 18 psi. All the way up is like 35psi or so. Seems like a nice range, and I'll probably just cruise around with it on the low setting all the time because plenty of fun to be had and fish to catch at 18psi, and easier on the car in general.

Got a couple pulls in today. So my latest tune we're now up to 25psi. Haven't done a pull with it yet but the car is feeling good. Too good cuz 3rd gear is about useless so I'm having to do my pulls in 4th gear (No Jail Preeze).
Also, got my new injectors today. FID 1600 high-z. Going to wait a little while to install them as I want to keep moving forward with the progress we're making on the logs/tune for now.
