Raw materials from Discount Steel to make my own intake manifold this winter because I refuse to pay $800+ for just a plenum

Big thanks to Shane at DB Performance for the dyno time. Never made a clean pass due to misfires above 8psi. Also found I made a mistake hooking up my wastegate. So because of those two problems I went home with a small TO-DO list, and a couple spare parts from Shane's SC300. I fixed my WG issue. And using Shane's parts, troubleshot my misfire problem to the coil, must be old and degraded. Luckily I had a spare Junkyard coil in the garage. Turns out it works like a champ. Car is boosting at about 10-12psi right now, AFR's in the 11's, but I'm going to stay out of boost for the most part until I can get back on the dyno, which should be next week.

Junkyard spare coil installed:

Pile O Troubleshooting parts, thanks again Shane :)

green bean makes a lot more than 250, i'd say 350/350.

Car feels fucking awesome and all the sounds are overwhelming. It's definitely moving a lot of car and it moves it well.

I can't wait to see what it does after the tune.

Cool thanks man, glad you like it. I do love how loud the turbo is, and the exhaust tone of this car. Just need to recirc my wastegate dump, not a fan of the loud annoying blahhhh. Drowns out the much better sounds like the turbo and sexay exhaust tone. I have some flex exhaust tubing on the way. And thanks for hooking me up with those small straight sections that I can use, it'll be perfect for what I'm planning I think.

Car is still running like a champ. So I'm not going to touch a thing until dyno day. So for the time being, started planning some misc stuff. Since I'll be making my own Intake Mani, I was thinking about what to do for vacuum ports on it. So made this crude drawing showing the simplest and cleanest way to run to run these lines. It involves using a couple Tee's which I'm not 100% a fan of, but seems like it would end up being the cleanest and simplest way of doing things, because some of them it means I only have to run one line and the 2 components are somewhat close to each other so then I just Tee it right near the components, rather than running 2 separate lines. Just a little simpler and cleaner. And where I use a Tee, I use a larger line feeding the Tee which is 2 smaller lines to hopefully reduce any issues with pressure loss or whatever could be caused from running a Tee.

But, interested to hear other peoples thoughts...
