I'm a bit late, but I guess the King of Ricers needs to speak up.

My JDM bumper was shipped to me bent like a pretzel. Leaving it out where its warm allows it to shape itself into its original form.

The picture of it folded up didn't worry me one bit. :)

Got the head off. I have it all boxed up along with the new BC springs, and new stem seals. Just waiting for the new cams to arrive and then will be delivering it to the shop to get worked.

Engine looks pretty good. Going to try and clean some of the crud off the tops of the pistons. Cleaned of the middle two with a little brake cleaner and paper towel. Will move onto the other 4 another day.

Mmmm, I want 6 of them! Nice, can't wait to see this back up and running tip top. Good work.

I thought you were a do it yourselfer? Or are you having them do a valve job?

Having them clean it up. Check to see if anything looks old/worn such as guides and what not. If everything looks good, they will be installing new valve stem seals, the new BC springs, and I will have them shim for the new cams.

I've never done much internal head work (valves, seals, springs), and I don't have the tools for it. So I source that kinda stuff out.

Think I found my mysterious oil leak. Shouldn't there be more than 1 bolt holding the upper oil pan on?

1 out of 4 isn't bad, looks like its cracked on that front side.

Wonder how long it has been like that for?

Bolts are so over-rated in engines.
