I'd I sold it, whatever I got next would need to accept the 2jz I'm having built haha. I think the NA 2jzge motors and me are a good fit. Cheap, abundant, and can make gobs of powaz. And they sound sexy as hell.

I'd love a jz swapped FD. Or a big power gs300. Or a supra of course haha. There's a JZ swapped c3 vette that's kinda badass too!

2JZ BRZ! I like the watch the B is for Build youtube channel, but I'm not really interested in JDM stuff anymore, and especially not interested in anything to do with drifting. But his latest build of the BRZ would be really cool as more of a street/strip/Mexico car. It's a nice little platform with a crappy stock motor.

You can pick up brz for a decent price now days. 2jz swap that with some 4 link mini tub action.

I don't want a BRZ, but thanks :) Lots of other things I'd have other than that.

Might as well stick with this car. I've put so much time/effort into little things on this car, like rebuilding & powdercoating the rear subframe with all new OEM fasteners, the expensive things that go unnoticed like the new control arms everywhere, the new expensive door hinges, zero rust. It'd kinda suck to start over at this point. So I'm going to keep moving forward with my original plans with one potential change. I'm not sure if I want to run my new BW SXE turbo. I should have waited to buy that, was kinda an impulse thing. Something about telling people it's just a little 61mm and they think wtf you put that pea shooter on a 2jz for. Then seeing their reaction to the 700hp it's putting out. It's just funny because everyone puts on 66-67mm or bigger on these cars. People will buy an S366 with the goal of 500-600hp. So it's kinda fun to be able to show some of those guys they don't need these huge turbos just because that's what everyone on the internet says.

And at this power level, I feel like I'm in a really good spot. I get good 1st gear traction on this wheel/tire setup with boost by gear, and I can pretty much run max boost in all further gears. I'm still using a single disc clutch. My 'weak points' are already being addressed. Adding another 100hp with the larger turbo may not be as great as it seems if I need to drop $2k on an expensive clutch setup that doesn't drive as nice. Maybe my 3" exhaust starts to hold me back. Maybe my current tires don't hold well anymore and I have to get something even more ridiculous. I think this power level is a beautiful spot to be at right now.

So not sure about that yet, I have time to think about it. I really want to see what this does at the track, that might help me figure out what direction I go as well. If it traps really well, maybe I'll look into getting a set of drag wheels/tires, and see what a little 61mm can do with some time and practice. A low 10sec pig on a 61mm would also be fun to get some folks reactions.

rock it as it is and get seat time.
Badass setup, looks like you are getting mega popular in the local SC scene.

Yea agree stick with the baby 61 and show people what it can do! Perfect street setup with the power and traction you have.

Ooorrr, get and efr61 and improve spool, airflow, and power and sell said SXE haha. Go baller! (Sorry don't recall the efr model, just meant same size for reference)

Got it tinted today at Auto Trimmers. All of my cars have been tinted by Tint Pro's, but I decided to try Auto Trimmers this time. They are like 2 miles from my work. Met the owner and he was extremely friendly. Showed me there shop and all the stuff they work on. Told me "thank you, I really appreciate you choosing to business with us" which I can't even remember the last time a shop owner has said those words to me. Much respect to him!

Goal with tint was to just make the car less of a fish bowl, not go dark to the point where I'll get hassled, and also enhanced heat rejection. So I went with the Carbon CXP45 (which is actually closer to 40% according to their site spec sheet). I really like how it turned out. Exactly what I was looking for, not too dark but functional. The sun was blaring into the drivers side window on the drive home, and I could tell the heat was much less intense then it used to be. The rear window has a bunch of bubbles which I don't particularly like but they said that's normal and to just let it bake in the sun as long as possible. And if in a month they are still there, to just come back and they will fix it. So I guess that's normal and sounds fine.

Cost $250 to do the whole car. I plan on getting a new windshield at some point and once that happens I plan to add either some really see thru tint to the windshield or an eyebrow / visor.

Highly recommend these foilks though. For me, the fact that the owner came and shook my hand and told me thank you for choosing them, that alone right there is why I'll probably choose them for any other future related work.

I assume no quality issues with the tint? Tint pro's did my evo and it was just ok. They put on the felt liner deals because the evo x's are prone to scratching the tint and they did a terrible job on that part of it but the tint was decent. I want to get my new accord done soon.

It has some bubbles in the back window. But they said it's normal and if it doesn't go away the can redo it. I'd be amazed if they go away on their own tho, so we will see.

Hmm, I don't think that is normal but I guess we will see. No where for that air to go. I guess keep us posted. Tint pros seems like a good option, but I am all for dealing with people that seem to actually want my business too.
