Not too much to update. But I've gotten the oil drain hole drilled out with a 7/8" hole saw. And the two bolt holes are tapped (M6x1.0).

Here's some pics:

How do you clean the shavings that may have got into the oil pan?

Lower and Upper oil pan? I'm confizzled.

I think some of the poopra guys use stock 3000GT ignitors as an upgrade also don't they?

I dropped the lower oil pan and put that newspaper that you see in the pics there to catch the shavings. Apparently some people do it without dropping the pan at all. I didn't want to risk that so that's why I dropped the lower pan so I could catch the shavings on that newspaper.

As for ignitors, yeah I'll cross that road when I ditch the stock distributor. For now I'm keeping the distributor. Try to do things 1 by 1 as much as I can to make troubleshooting as simple as possible.

Drilled the oil filter union bolt to accept a 1/8npt fitting for my oil feed. You can either buy one for an IS300 for like $25 and it's already tapped, or just drill the stocker. And well, considering I already had a 1/8npt tap, and access to free drill bits and a drill press, that was an easy choice :)

Lots o lube:

Pilot drilled:

Hole drilled using "R" size drill bit, and de-burred:

Tapped for 1/8npt. Wish I coulda tapped further but it was getting HARD. That look good enough to you guys?:

1/8npt to -3AN fitting installed. Used some liquid pipe thread sealing compound on it:

OFH installed back on the car, badda bing:

Also installed the drain fitting. Need a gasket for that thing yet...
