Crazy guy you! Why not at this point just do a stock rebuild and part it out, sell... so many rebuilds!

Eff, now to figure out how to get this thing in with a bum leg...

Out of town for work all week but two small victories:
One, after an MRI the doctors confirm my ACL is NOT torn, just bruised knee ligaments that need time to heal. 2.5 weeks after the fall I can now mostly make it up or down a single flight of stairs without wincing in the entire way.
Two, made the haul down to MAP and picked up my (expensive) care package.
In this box is an OEM shortblock with the stock pistons/rods removed and MAP Ultimate Duty rods and Wiseco pistons installed.

Walked out and loaded up by MAP CEO Chris Carey himself--thank you sir!

I went with @murlo26 and @Knoxville to pick up murlo's new 6266 setup...thank you so much for the ride and the help guys! I can walk but I'm still a gimp.

I have to say again, MAP had this motor ready for me, start to finish, in under two weeks. The car runs and drives pretty good still but I know its only a matter of time before something bad happens. I've literally gone through 7 quarts of oil since the head rebuild in December, maybe 2000 miles ago:

Aaand all I need now is some break-in oil from O'Reily's. Got everything else I need here except a car (to drive while beaterX is down), some steaks, pizza, and beer (to bribe anyone that will help me with this swap), and some nice weather (after the spring cruise!).

Lastly, it's been mentioned to me multiple times that the spark plug failures in the 4b11 are due to a bad PCV setup as the one side goes right into the runner for cyl 1....not sure what to do about it yet but I can't ignore this since I've had two engine failures and both were in cyl1. Anyone else onboard with this? Any more discussion out there about it?

Wow 7 quarts in 2k miles is a lot! Also I'd be willing to lend a hand if you need it when you're ready to do the swap

Good deal on the knee! Cool pics of the process, nice pic of chris too! Let me know what nice weekend your planning on for the swap.

Looking good. Amsoil I see, I'm making the switch to that (from redline) for all my driveline. How you liking it in in the engine?

I have a bunch of time off before the cruise if you need a hand. I have 7 out of the next 9 days off.
