I'm talking not so much about the track, but more-so about being stuck in 10mph traffic on 35W on a 95* day with the A/C on.

That is where my DSM struggled when it had a 3.5" Garrett core mounted in front of my A/C condenser and Mishimoto radiator. So just curious if that's ever an issue for any of the X's. I'm sure your aluminum block is a little better at dissipating heat than the old 6-bolt iron 4g63.

Any close ups of the external fin density/design on that core?

No close-ups but its a standard garrett core--very dense. The difference between dsms and evos is awesome on this point--Evos have a FMIC from the factory. As such, there are huge extra channels for air to flow to the radiator despite having a huge fmic core. Also the fmic is offset lower than the radiator, I think this helps a bit.

Sounds like a great excuse for a radiator upgrade! lol. Mishimoto makes two and CBRD has a baller one for the X. I have the cheaper Mishimoto and my car has never budged at the track for temps.

Bryan@GST rags on DW and in the last day a guy is trying to blame a blown motor on a pre-release set of the 1500s. My personal experience has been good, both with that set you've got and the 1000s. Those IDs didn't tune for shit.

No radiator upgrade needed at this point. Maybe if I tracked the thing but for now, meh. Saw the guy on the DW1500's, what a dick. Guys like that need to be thrown off the internet.

Exactly. Same conditions on an evo are never a problem.

I'm kinda with B-man on this, and the same reason I'd pay the dough for a ETS core.

I've also heard nothing bad about DW and glad to hear about your good experiences with them, I'm kinda sad I missed their opening day when I was down in OK.

So when is the reassembly happening?

I got treed.
