Yay for local built X's, lol...funny how we all ended up doing it one way or another...maybe now you guys who gave Lomker crap for building his will realize he wasn't doing it for fun :)
Naa, now I can just give all three of you crap.

Lol yea I dont think Scheides would have built his if the stock block didnt fail, which seems to be common around here. haha

I believe they're like 285grams each, don't quote me on that. They are *very* light though, I was pretty amazed.

Damn that is real light. I'm trying to remember what 6-bolt .020 over Mahle's for DSM's weigh, and I thought they were something like 290grams, and are the lightest off-the-shelf pistons for them as far as I know.

Sounds like a sweet piston :)

Common for people trying to push the 4b11 to power levels the 4g63 seemed to handle alright :) I am just saying Lomker flipped the coin and from the looks of it seemed to pick the right path.

I agree, Scheides is all about using as much of the stock components as he can, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Regardless, the new setup should prove very solid!

Fukin right! I put 80k on my 4G63 at 400+whp at db and it was in great shape. As much as this whole situation saddens me, FUCK IT! I want this thing running and it will continue to get abused.

Correct.

My bad, this says 340 grams/piston. I will find out for sure; gonna try and get weight on the stock pistons/rods vs the new pistons/rods for an overall weight difference including the rings, wrist pins and everything.

*edit* with info from the actual p/n's that were ordered.

I've got brand new OEM pistons/rods with the rings etc at home if you want to use brand new stuff to get the weight comparison :)

lol, I never saw jersey shore, but i like the music Jimmy fallon plays when he does his fist pumping, the roots are awesome.

I'm just giving you guys shit, I don't really give a crap either way. But hell now you guys can rock the shit out of some built motors.

I vote one of you guys need to big dog it and break 650ish at DB.
