lol, I never saw jersey shore, but i like the music Jimmy fallon plays when he does his fist pumping, the roots are awesome.

I'm just giving you guys shit, I don't really give a crap either way. But hell now you guys can rock the shit out of some built motors.

I vote one of you guys need to big dog it and break 650ish at DB.

Give it time. One of us will get bored eventually despite what we all think right now. I am guessing Scheides will be like Lomker and myself after this and be in recovery from spending large sums of money.

however he did save quite a bit by doing a lot himself.

Local resources, friends, that's what makes stuff come together and keep it on schedule! I ran over to lomker's last night to beg/borrow this extra set of 4b11t headstuds he had after his debacle. Turns out to use a torque plate you need something to bolt it to the block with! Surprise! LOL Fail scheides.

So yea anyways, I ran the headstuds over to MAP last night. The block is done being bored and its finally excited about life again and ready to go have some fun! (get it? bored? I....nevermind.) Actually, it is getting its final hone today and then assembly begins.

Side note, MAP has a 4b12 block, it doesn't look as beefy as the 4b11t. The caps holding down the crank only have 2 bolts (vs 4 on the 4b11t) and the rear main seal is different. They are going to try some parts-swapping from mine and theirs to just see what is possible. Maybe on my next build :)

Thats awesome to see it progress so quickly! It'll be a fun car for sure when it's all said and done.

Are you going to keep daily driving it with the built motor?

Nice progress, you are really moving!

What headstuds did lomker have, the ARPs?

Thanks! Absolutely I will keep driving it. I don't make enough $$ to have a $30k 'fun-only' car although that would be very fun some day!

Give us a little spec sheet on this beast!!

It's a mitsu? Hehe, like what? Look up a few posts (by me) to see what all is going in it.

yea, ARPs. I am iffy on re-torquing them after my incident with my last car, so I am going to use a fresh set when I torque the head to the block for the last time.

I torque the head to the block for the last time.

I'm glad to see them be useful for something. I'm still crying over what the "incidentals" set me back to pull that head a second time.

Yes, people have ran upwards of 45psi on them so far, still holding fine. I'm running them at 37ish with no problems.

The evo's heads don't have lifting problems like DSM's do thankfully.

I'll give you a $10 rental fee, set something up with Hollyweird so they get included with the torque plate as it travels to lonely, sad, broke individual after lonely, sad, broke individual. :)
