Wow that looks like nearly identical spool? Excited for dyno numbers/overlays!

I'm in for 650. lol. This is just silly, but I definitely want to get a walbro 400 pump now. And I'll be installing an ACT 6 puck in my car since it seems to be the only one available that can even handle the power it's already making. This is a very inspiring thread/build.

Haha, thanks man!

No one has run like 30psi+ really on an EF4 on the X. For the Evo 8/9 people run like upwards of 43psi. I would think 32-33 is the sweet spot.

Scheides will take care of that!! :drive1:

I love that it comes to full boost about 4500ish and still breaks 600whp, time has brought some awesome tech.

I can't wait to see what this lays down, also in for the 650whp max boost pull!

Failures = opportunities in my book, good job on the upgrade. That’s an awesome power band and peak #’s! Supportive wives are keepers and the cherry on top is that she picked up parts, wow, that’s taking it to the next level.

EF4 freaking RIPS.

More rpm = more power, the car just does not stop. It seems so docile when driving nicely but go WOT and it's a mix of wanting to watch the tach to make sure I get revs high enough to be in the real power and not daring looking away from the road as the car just eats it up faster than ever. I rode in the 700whp car DB churned out a few years back and no my car is not 'that' fast, but honestly for being my DD the car is officially 'stupid' fast :)

Midrange needs some work but thanks to mivec the car does not feel lazy as was my lasting impression with FP's Black on Trevor's evo8 a few years back. The turbo snaps back to life inbetween gears just like my BBX did and if I want a little less power all I have to do is short-shift, the car is still fast as hell revving to 'only' 7000rpm.

The fuel system is at its limit on e70 and 31psi. Hughes linked me to this nice article about the Boomba fuel rail for the X yesterday:
http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59514

Between that and Lomker's experience that he continues to share with us via the Internet I am sold and will be picking one up sometime, the car needs more overhead for when e85 comes back.

Virual dyno numbers are fine for now and they are in the neighborhood of a few guys' AMS 750R/PTE 5857 setups even before real tuning begins...I attribute a lot of the top-end awesomeness and extra nice numbers to MAP's 9-blade turbine wheel, the thing seems to act like it has a bigger turbine compared to a standard 11-blade....hitting the rollers...probably wait until I get my summer tires on and a few more bits and pieces to make the most of the setup for another year of ripping and thrashing! AFRs are fine and timing is conservative but climbs steadily, boost is flat...I will have shane brush it up soon enough :)

Decided to run a tank of pump gas through this thing. Same tune from shane when the car was on pump gas last year. Timing was just flat with the new turbo from like 5500+ so I added a little bit up there but nothing crazy. It runs good an no knock, just straight MBC, no WGDC at all it is zero'd out across the board. I'm sure it has a ton more in it with a few more psi up top but this is just my 'get me by on pump gas' tune-- nice and safe.

Hell of a powerband!

Nothing beats a 4K rpm power band. Why did you run pump gas through it?
