John, tried to update you on dsmtimes, there was an error. I linked this thread and your big post to Brian and emailed him asking to update.

Thanks, I submitted many moons ago. I just figured the site was dead or something.

Any winter plans? Will you be making it out next year?

Nothing to big right now, I will get the car out like it was. Running 40psi and driving around. I do not want to go back to the track before I have a dog box and slicks, so saving up cash is my big plan I guess. I might be at the MAP shoot out thing, we shall see.

Time for a small update.

The rods/pistons are back at CP Carrillo.

I am getting a hole new set of pistons. They looked at the ones I sent back and there making some changes to the design, adding more gas ports for the top ring, polishing things, and changing the outer shape to help stability and reduce skirt scuffing.

The rods will be checked in every way and new small end bushings installed.

I should have the parts back in a month or so.

As for the rest of the setup a dog box is not going to happen this year. But I will get slicks, cute, full fire suit, helmet, the new twin disk with spline drive disks, new head, new head and main studs, a back up tranny, new t belt stuff, a copper head gasket. Chassis will have a few updates, nothing major. And the plan is to work on the short track and get the 60' closer to the 1.4-1.5 range then go back to BIR and take another crack the ET record.

Awesome dude. :fork:

I'm sure that you don't want to buy new pistons, but maybe an fyi that will help down the road. Ron Shearer is now working for wiseco and has released some new 10.5:1 pistons built to hold some serious power, this is basically an early release of the next version of piston, but they got really busy and just wanted to get something out they are still testing more advance features.

Good luck man.

There are two thoughts on how to make power on alcohol.

9:1 worked last year so I will stay with that. I can still turn the boost up for more power.
