At least you got that neat paper weight of a valve! Haha. Sucks to hear about the car though :/

So the back up motor is a short block as of Sunday night. I have the head ready to bolt down, so when I get home tomorrow it will be a few more coats of copper spray on the head gasket, then I will tear the rest of the way into the tranny then bolt the head on before I go to bed.

Hey I was sorry to hear of the failure, crazy unfortunate. I hope to see you at Cedar this weekend. I need a partner in crime to beat up on all the V8’s that will be there!

No, that was a Manley 1mm over exhaust valve. The stock keepers gave up the ghost and the valve dropped at 9800rpm.

And as for going to the track this weekend, as long as the weather holds out I should be there.

Right now I am a 1 man show until things start to come together, then I will need the help to bolt it all together and get some street tuning in.
