Two questions:
How is does the twin disk feel?

What is the reasoning behind using a 2g head on your future engine? Flow better?

Right now, I really do not like the twin disc. I probably only have less than 20 street miles and maybe 15-20 dyno/highways pulls, and 2 legit track passes. I was used to my Competition Clutch 6 puck and that thing was super easy, now I have to think every time I stop so I don't kill it when I take off and shifting has become a little tricky to try and keep it halfway smooth. If this was more of a daily driver, I think I would find something else next time.

I was thinking 2g head because some of the bigger hp are doing it and I want to jump on the band wagon. I remember Shane did an overlay of Mara's 1g, a customer with a stroker motor with 2g head with a 35r and my car. We all pretty much made the same power but his spooled a little faster if I remember right and he was running half the boost. haha. That was back when I thought I would be able to save money, now the car has been put on the back burner a little bit nad I've been spending money or more fun things.

The twin will get easer to drive. I have been driving the evo with twin disks for 2 years now. There is no way in hell I will go back. It is so much nicer than the talon and hatch act's and the act 2900 that was in the evo to start with.
It took me a while to get use to it and not killing it at lights. You will get really good driving on it when you get stuck in rush hour traffic.

I would take an ACT 2100/2600 sprung 6 puck or Comp Clutch stage 4 over most clutches. Hold good torque and easy to drive. The 2900s were always junk and most of the cheaper American twin disc setups are a pain to drive, while an Exedy twin disc for the Evo is childs play to drive.

Haha I think I spent almost every dollar I had on this car last year, I think I just got a little burnt out. Also not driving it makes me not really miss it either, I'm sure once sumemr comes around I'll wish I would've saved more and have a built motor ready and waiting when the stock one goes.

Me too, its just not fair.

You could come try and drive it if you wanted. They do hold power and will let you shift at a high rpm if you have a tranny that can handle it.

Thats good to hear that it should get easier. I think I would pull off and go get food if I got stuck in traffic with this car. I got stuck last year in stop and go once and wanted to shoot myself. I couldn't imagine adding a twin disc into the mix.

I loved that Comp stage 4, wish I could have just been happy at 450 and called it quits.

Yes it is, except for rewelding that damn manifold over and over and over

haha Matt's manifold did suck, but that thing was pretty damn reliable for how much he beat the crap out of it.

Sitting in the garage having a beer with my dad usually end up with coming up with random ideas.

= 28 lbs of weight savings and something else to keep me busy.

Also painted my Kirkey black today and looks pretty good I think.
