It blew in a spot that was re-welded after the nitrous back fire. It blew on the longest spot on the end tank of the intercooler, have to think its 35ish lbs per square inch and on such a long end tank it can only take so much abuse. My shitty launches and getting a little sideways in 2nd probably didn't help at all either with the way it is mounted.

Power was pretty much the same at the same boost as the old FP3065. The HTA comp wheel did spool it a couple hundred RPMs quicker. I think it was hitting 30psi at around 4400RPMs, not bad for a car making this kind of power. We thought we would try more boost and try to make use of the new comp wheel, but it made the exact same boost from 5500 or so on up. We might just be blowing open his wastegate, it only has a .9 bar spring in it and we aren't pushing any boost to the top port. I think peak power was at around 32-33psi, if the boost drop problem is just the wastegate and not something maxed in the turbo, then it would be interesting to see what it would make at 36-40psi.

Just curious why you went with the DSM82 vs the DSM86? the 86 is where it's at. Did they put in a full 35R turbine wheel, or leave the 30R wheel on there? That could be your choking point if it's an hta82 comp wheel w/ the 30R turbine.
VERY respectable powerband though, keep having fun with it!

It is the only upgrade they offer for the FP3065. All they did was change the compressor wheel.

Hrm and here I thought the DSM82/86 were full 35r turbine wheels, but reading their site it doesn't look like they actually are.

Should help save some more weight off the car. Probably wouldn't have bought either of the two things but found good deals on both of them, so why not.

Going for that no-so-streetable setup now then? :P That looks uncomfortable as hell!
