I bought some pistons from slowboy a long ass time ago. After about a month of not getting them I called and asked where they were. The lady said they were on back order. I was like WTF its on back order and I wasnt even notified. Then I canceled my order and had to pay a 30% restocking fee. I wish I would have seen this thread before I bought from them.

It's amazing how the EvolutionM moderators will defend SBR until they're blue in the face and delete posts that say anything bad.

I noticed there were plenty of people who were willing to defend SBR in general. I think both parties were some what in the wrong on this one.

LOL restocking fee on a part that was never in physical possession?!?! You should have called your credit card company and just had them reverse the charges. They're not supposed to even charge you until the part is shipped. If they require otherwise tell them to take a hike.

I totally agree, but it's not surprising to see that SBR still to this day can't ever admit even a sliver of fault.

I agree. Easiest thing to do would have been to cancel the build and move on. If Martin as he claims is moving a dozen engines a month on his own inside of SBR, I'm sure it would not have taken any time to move those parts to another customer. There's nothing special about building a 2.3L, all the parts are off the shelf these days.
Worst case, charge a cancellation fee that is refundable once those parts are sold to another customer.

DsmTuners is the same exact way.
