Dooooooooo it!

Sucks to hear the starter went out but at least its a cheap/easy fix

Oh I will build a turbo busa! I want another one soooo bad! It will just be a few years unless I get passed and sell the talon lol.

Yeah at least it's not expensive. I'm just really getting sick of shit constantly breaking and having to spending all my free time fixing it ha.

Alrighty well I jammed a new starter in the car last night. Was way easier than I remember. It took me about 20min total. I had my buddy drive the talon down to my work today to change the oil and tranny fluid. I have about 250 miles on the engine so I drained the break in oil out and put a regular conventional in for now. I switch from lightweight shock proof to the redline cocktail for my tranny fluid. So well see how she shifts with that in it.

I noticed that the right front axle was basically demolished. I'm surprised my buddy made it to my work so i also put a new axle in it. Tomorrow were swapping turbos and John is going to make my exhaust.

Also the car seems to be charging fine while driving.

Things are kinda starting to come together

Not quite yet lol. I still have 2 weeks till I go on the dyno and a lot can go wrong in two weeks. I will be happy once my car makes it on the dyno and puts down some decent numbers. I should really stop being so pessimistic about this thing but it's kinda hard right now lol

Alrighty I got the turbo swapped and John redid my exhaust and lower intercooler pipe to fit the 6766. So now the car is running on the new baby turbo. I just need to get an air filter and make an intake pipe or see if I can get a 5in to 4in reducing coupler and make my intakepipe from the gt42 work. I'm also going to need to get the turbine housing ceramic coated or buy one of those turbo blanket thingys because it cooks the carbon fiber hood pretty good.

Also between yesterday and today I've put about 200 miles on the car so the engine now has over 400 miles on it. She's just about ready for the dyno. And big thanks to John (pushit2.0) for letting me swap turbos and his place then redoing my exhaust and intercooler pipe!

Looking good. Hopefully you got all the bugs worked out of this beast. You and dp Murlo should line up this summer.

Thanks! And if he wants too. If all goes well on the dyno I'll run anyone who wants to. Cars or bikes. I don't care if I lose lol

Thanks man! I feel like I need the the luck right now. I think I'ma llittle overly paranoid about the charging system after last year on the dyno. The charging system seems to be all over the place so I hope she holds up on the dyno

Have you thought about installing a voltage gauge?

Win or lose its all about fun. But we will need to get video of all the fun runs.

Also its kinda interesting. I weighed the gt42 it was almost 38lbs. The shipping weight on the 6766 was 25lbs so take away 1 or 2lbs for packaging that means the 6766 is about 14 to 15lbs lighter than the gt42.
