Rod sheered right off at the base...talk about excessive cylinder pressure!

His turbo is ready to be sent away for upgrade from EF3 to EF4 too :) The turbo is still in flawless condition, zero wear on the blades or housings, and absolutely no shaft-play.

Yikes... crazy the rod would snap at that spot! Sounds like MAP is taking care of ya though.

Hate to see a ventilated block like that. thought that only happened on the VQ motors at those power levels

The problem is Dallas doesn't have a good VIII/IX ECUFlash tuner so everyone tries to self-tune, with unexperienced self-tuning comes holes in shit. Andrew actually plans on getting tuned up there in April when we roadtrip it up for the spring cruise!

tell him to book his time with DB now... their dyno sessions fill up fast

He's probably going to MAP since he has their engine, head, turbo, etc., but I'll leave that up to him.
