The steering is definitely lighter. The car seems a little more responsive from a stop, but that could just be psychological.

Blah blah blah...more of the same. I finished up my 60k maintenance items on Wednesday by changing the coolant and replacing the factory serpentine belt and pullies with Gates brand parts. I'm pretty sure the OEM and Gates pullies are identical; the markings are all the same and they're both made in Canada. Us X guys replace these with the belt since they're made of plastic; after 58k miles my OEM ones still looked 99% fine, but I already had them sitting here and at only $9/each I figured better safe than sorry.

In a bit here I'll be taking my car in to the dealership for it's final warranty coverage inspection and an alignment. I've noticed some oil seepage on the underside of my engine and the front axle boots have been leaking grease (not cracked, but it appears the clamps aren't tight enough which is common).

All in all, not bad for a car with nearly 59k miles of daily-driven abuse!

Nice! I know gates makes a lot of oem parts for dealers. I've done timing belts on Hondas and we got the belts from the dealer and it said Honda by gates right on the belt lol

Success! Axle covered under warranty and passed the state emissions test no problemo :)

Factory clutch still going strong?

The factory clutch is still holding up just fine! [knock on wood]

Competition Clutch sent me a Stage 2 sprung HD kit earlier this spring but my stock clutch has still shown no signs of slipping or wearing out so I'm not going to bother with the install until it's needed. At which time I'll probably also do a front anti-sway bar and possibly a slightly lighter weight flywheel depending on the condition of my stock flywheel after all these miles.
