Sweet powah Kracka, very impressive.

I kinda agree with lomker though, are you sure its not injectors? ETS said they ran the stock fuel pump out at 420whp on their 35 kit.

From what Kracka told me yesterday, I think he said the IDC was at 93%. So they should still be good with the setup, but I'll let him chime in and post. :)

That's kinda weird, since Scheides put down ~400 at DB with a stock fuel pump. This dyno reads closer to MAP's dyno as far as local dyno's so it seems. I guess I would think injectors before pump as well, but I guess we'll see. :)

Scheides also has DW800cc fuel injectors so it's not apples to apples. I think adding injectors or a pump would accomplish the same thing, but the guys at Cobb said the actual problem on my car is the pump since IDC's are at 93%.

Badass numbers dude! So easy to forget the stock turbo on the X is smaller than the 8/9 but these numbers are fantastic! Super vague ricer math puts you somewhere around 315whp/330wtq at DB I think? Numbers to rival gheyrod (the 9) to be sure!

You're totally right about the injector/pump thing. As I have learned from Shane, you can push a fuel pump further with bigger injectors, which is basically what I did on my car. ~380whp is the limit w/ 800's and it looks like its around 320whp w/ stock 600cc injectors. It's all about having more resolution with which to store up fuel and spit it out at the particular cylinder. Bigger injectors can dump larger amounts of fuel in shorter bursts, allowing the fuel pump to be pushed further. At this point (for both of us) an upgraded fuel pump and keeping the existing injectors is the perfect plan--won't have to mess with injector scaling/latancies and you'll just have plenty of fueling headroom on top. Plus, if you upgrade turbo or switch to e85 later, you're set with just an injector upgrade. :)

Go gheyrodX go!

Keep in mind my IX made 326 @ DB then put down 360 @ Cobb with a very similar tune (converted to SD, but AFR, timing, and boost was kept steady). Everyone must also keep in mind that the VIII and IX pumps also needed replacing before the stock fuel injectors did. Along with the X's larger stock fuel injectors it also got a more capable pump so the stock fuel system is able to support more, but still not enough.

This trying to compare dynos is retarded though, it just can't accurately be done. DB's dyno reads what DB's dyno does and Cobb's dyno reads what Cobb's dyno does.

Moral of the story, my X is making damn impressive power for a stock turbo/pump gas X on Cobb's dyno and the stock fuel system isn't able to supply what my car is now capable of. Getting back to the original intent of this testing...the ported manifolds and throttle body made damn impressive gains!

Thanks to Scheides being awesome and mailing me his Cobb fuel pump install kit (they're still back-ordered) I'm able to get my tune finished today :D

So how much does it cost you to get tuned every time, or do they hook it up? I feel like you are getting new t00ns every day :)

They hook me up pretty good.

It's to pay him back for promoting the AP on EvoM :)

Oh and apparently sending mailers out...I'll get you back somehow :)
