The jobs won't go away, they'll just be paid less.

Why are we not solving the root of the problem, healthcare being so expensive? That alone would afford many, many people the chance to get healthcare/health insurance coverage. Instead, we're doing things that will make healthcare costs go up. Great. That is, until the gov't takes it over altogether and completely F's it up.
The fact that they will be paid less is why the jobs will go away. It cost $200-300k to become a doctor, not counting the high cost of malpractice insurance (due to no TORT reform, thank Obama and the lawyers for that one), the cost of equipment and approved medical/surgical facilities, the cost of staffing those offices (you pay your doctor, he pays his nurses, lab techs, receptionist, accountant, etc). Would you invest the money knowing your earnings are about to be cut drastically?

To answer your second part; the lobbyist, SEIU, campaign contributors and big pharma just got paid back for electing Obama. Simply put, to really fix the issue you would either have to reduce health care cost through regulation, TORT reform and competition or raise the standard of living in the USA so everybody could afford to have insurance. But, then you would be taking money from the "haves" and giving it to the "have not's", and we can't have that. The super rich don't give a fuck about your ability to live well.

Look at what the bill does. It blocks out competition across state lines, it blocks out the importation of lower cost drugs from Canada and elsewhere. Some of the same drugs we export to Canada that could still be brought back here cheaper than buying them directly from here. And now they're forcefully adding 30 million more customers to the money pool for all of the insurance companies, adding to their bottom line. You know, those same evil insurance companies that Obama hates so much, right.

yeah, you pretty much nailed it. I guess I'm not totally sure what will happen to jobs. Once the gov't tampers with free market economics, my education in economics no longer helps me figure out what is going to happen.

Looks like states are already moving to block this utter violation of personal freedom:

"Four state legislatures have already passed laws blocking the bill. On Wednesday, Virginia's (http://topics.abcnews.go.com/topic/Virginia) GOP Gov. Bob McDonnell (http://topics.abcnews.go.com/topic/Bob-McDonnell) will sign the bill into the state's law, making it illegal for the federal government to require Americans to purchase health insurance."

Even our own Governor, Tim Pawlenty, remarked that this is an, "unprecedented overreach by the federal government forcing individual citizens to buy a good or a service for no other reason then they happen to be alive or a person."

Ever wonder why this bill is so fucked up??? It's designed to fail over time. That way they can say they tried to fix it, but now the only thing that will work is a single payer, government controlled health care. And single payer is exactly what Obama Inc is shooting for.

This will make the government the wholesaler/middleman for your health care coverage. And the government will set the price and coverage, for your own good of course.

The new Health Care Plan will be written by a committee whose Chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress which hasn't read it, signed by a President who smokes, funded by a Treasury Secretary whodid not pay his taxes, overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed............. by a country t...hat is nearly broke. What could possibly go wrong?"-

Who said no Pro-Life people dont want to talk about countries/situations about where abortions happen illegally? Of course it still happns, at least the citizens know its wrong, and dont have to pay for illegal and disguting activity.

Lets make stealing legal, but just a little bit. Id rather have someone steal just a little bit and get away with it than steal alot.

I would rather one child pass away then both (mother/baby) perish from a back-alley abortion.

One FACT that no pro-life person wants to talk about is in countries/situations where abortion is banished/illegal: Abortions still happen.

A soon-to-be mother who cannot have a baby -WILL- abort the fetus, this is not my opinion, this is fact, I would rather she survive the operation, if she uses a coat hanger she is likely to die too.
