Looks good, some of the smallest changes can make the biggest differences. Your dog looks unamused haha
Yea its crazy what some paint and swapping out the closet doors/outlets can do. Haha yea he was probably about to get up, he's a huge fan of sitting and staying for long for pictures.

Nice wood working! Looks great!
Thank ya sir!

Phase 2 of garage mods have started. So with the help of Jeremy (supra guy who lives only a couple miles from me), we came up with these final plans for a cabinet arrangement on my back wall. So I took down all my old shelving last weekend on that wall, moved my work bench over, so I'm basically ready to start.

We took his van to Home Depot and picked up four sheets of 3/4" particle board for making the cabinet carcases out of and some other misc supplies (~$120 total). Threw em on his table saw and cut out the pieces to make the initial four lower cabinet carcases. I have them in my garage getting acclimated. Hopefully find some time to start assembling them in the next week or so. Pretty excited to finally start on these!

You can kind of see his grey cabinets in one of the pics. Those are basically exactly what mine will look like, copying his design since they seem nice to me.

Little project we have been working on at work. We were pushed to a different project but cool garage remodel. It now has windows and little finished up. Garage had normal trusses on it and was fully finished off inside with sheetrock. We saved all the sheetrock with minimal damages and added floor joists and the 2nd floor. Garage is 50' wide and 40' deep.

Just about done with the first 4 lower carcases.

Are you planning to set them on something off the floor? I would suggest green treat 2x4 on the floor for the toe kicks.

Yep they will be 4-5" off the ground. Mounted to the wall. So fully open underneath for things like drip pans to slide / store under.

Got the lowers completely assembled with the backer plates on for screwing into the wall.

I want to make sure I document how I built them and all the measurements, so I nerded out a little in Solidworks. I drew a quick overall sketch of the general goal. Then I drew an exact sketch of all the pieces of these lowers. and assembled it in SW.

Next I just need to mount these to the walls and then go buy some more sheets of wood and start on the next pieces.

My garage is done on the new house! We close tomorrow finally!

These new led shop lights are awesome. I put 8 of them in and 2 shop fans for hot summer days. I thought about A/C but that was taking things a bit far lol. I do have it ready for heat but am waiting until next fall to put that in. I have a floor drain and big tub sink with hot/cold water with threaded faucet so I can put a hose into that and wash the cars in winter. Now, if only I had a fun car to work on here...someday again.
