I never tried new sensors. My reasoning behind that was this...

The sensor for the GAUGE is seperate from the sensor that sends the temp to the ECU correct? Well I not only notice the temp is high in DSMLink, but also the gauge reads higher then I'm used to seeing. So I had a hard time believing 2 sensors are both bad, and both reading slightly high.

Anyhow, I drove around quite a bit today with the new FMIC. I haven't been logging, just watching the gauge, and it's already running noticably cooler. Hell tonight, the gauge was barely over that first tick mark marking the normal range! Much much cooler then before. I'm very happy about that!!!

Stupid turbulators blocking air flow to the radiator. To bad you do not have an AIT sensor at the TB to see if there is a difference in air temps for the different intercoolers.

I do wish I did have a way to monitor it, oh well. From what I'm hearing though, even though ETS cores have a less dense external fin pack, their cores still perform real well.

Got the mounting situation taken care of. But FYI, anyone with pop-ups, and A/C, this won't just mount up right out of the box with where they located their mounting ears. I just took a piece of angle aluminum and bolted it the full length of the ears, then mounted it closer to the hood latch. Worked out perfect.

Also, another big thanks to Momin at Elite. He put the final touch on the exhaust he built me, by adding a nice little tip to it. It sticks out past the bumper just a smidge, which is exactly what I asked for, so I don't have to worry about soot on the rear bumper anymore :)

Changed the oil today and put a few miles on her. I think I'm ready for RF tomorrow :D

Well, today things took a funny turn. Drove it to MAP's bbq, everything was good. Later at night got to Brownman's house to do some quick pulls to make sure the car is still at where I want it to be, and right before we were gunna head out, we noticed a funny sound. Sounded like it was coming from the cam gear cover.

Here's what we found.

Drove her home nice and easy, and a couple hours later had it all buttoned up. The timing belt itself needs to be changed, which will happen in a couple weeks when I redo the headgasket, and put the L19's in. But for now, T-Belt should still last a good while as is.

So needless to say, we never got to do any pulls, so that'll be something to do on the way to the track :)

Close call though, man am I glad we found that tonight, and not in Wisconsin.

And big thanks to Brownman for sticking around and helping me get this resolved!!
