it's not to bad when all I have is parts into it and my time. I am keeping track on all the parts that go into it so I will have a total on it when it is done.

Very nice looking.... Just a silly question...why did you paint the intercooler black?

when I get the evo III kit for it people will think it is a ricer and with the black fmic it will be harder to tell what it is.

Black FMIC's are the hotness. My buddies is black on his civic, and you'd look right at the car, and not even notice.

I hear all the time that the black doesn't help with the IC cooling, is this true or more ricer BS?

I know, if you coat the ever loving crap out of it, it's goign to affect the cooling, but a thin coat shouldn't be a problem.

Nice car, you'll have to bring it to a Aplebee's some week. I'll be damn sure to make it that week.

the black is very thin on the fmic it will not harm the cooling of it.

I got some were today with the motor. They started to say it was rebuildable so I said ok whatever so I got price on new oem evo I crank 699.00 and all the other parts to fix the motor and mashine work and labor is a little over 2700.00 and I paid 2500 for the clip so they are going to pay me to fix it or send me a compleat evo III long block to replace the one I have. should know tomorrow about it.

When heatsink fins are flat black it can actually help with heat dissipation. At least in the computer world, I'm assuming thermal dynamics work the same in cars, heh. But yeah if you were to cake a bunch of spray paint on the intercooler I would assume that wouldn't be a good heat conductor anymore.
