"Mr. Awlaki said Monday on his English language Web site that Mr. Hasan was “a hero.” The cleric said, “He is a man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people.”

He added, “The only way a Muslim could Islamically justified serving as a solider in the U.S. Army is if his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal.”"

All Muslims are not terrorists, and I'd have to imagine that there are plenty of Muslims that proudly serve in the US Armed Services. They serve on behalf of the American people, which are comprised of Christians, Muslims, Jews, Atheists, ad nauseum. They make take their orders from the Commander in Chief, who happens to be a Christian, but they serve on behalf of all of us. They are currently protecting the interests of the people who live in this country, not one man. I noticed this in the Fox News article you linked to as well but decided to not bring it up in my earlier post.

I'm not commenting on this specific incident, he very well may have been a terrorist and joined the military for the sole reason of doing this. I don't know. However, it is deplorable to support segregation of any kind.

By the way, we're not at war with 'the Muslims'.

We're not? They attribute this terror we're fighting as muslim religious purpose. Of course for political correctness reasons they can not label this as a war on muslims, but the words muslim and terrorist have become more interchangeable as this drags on and people are continually blown up in the name of their god.
