I think that is also tuned, for the 288 number. Also might be a manual vs the 217 being an auto.
So 217 being totally stock auto trans.
288 Intake, long tube headers, header back exhaust, tuned (we run pig rich, in case you don't remember my dyno from fall), manual trans.
Can probably safely say 5-10hp is attributed to lose in the transmission between auto and manual.
