Re: 4g!

Wow, the gains from the long tubes is a lot.

The gain differences between the long tube and short tube might not actually be that much, if nothing else is restricting them. Has anyone tested the shorties? We have done swaps from shorties to long tubes on NA 300whp Mustangs and there haven't been power gains on the dyno. Maybe there would be real gains on a more crazy, bigger displacement, higher power NA build.

Well the shorties are a different make, they are from RRE.

Also they are talking cold air, and i'm in short ram right now, which I also recently found out is INSANELY hot compared to cold air, so that's a couple ponies for sure. basically here is the exact different between my car and theirs.

Their 276whp dyno'd GT: Cold air intake, RIPP long tube headers, Custom 2.25 inch exhaust (probably no cats, but with a high flow reso and muffler, but i'm not sure)

My setup: Short ram intake, Short tube headers, Stock exhaust from headers to cat (stock cat still in place), cat-back magnaflow exhaust (basically very minimal gains, a couple if anything at all, all I replaced was stock resonator and muffler)

I dyno'd last fall with you guys at DB at 235-236 on all 3 pulls.

I'm so stressin...
