Re: Stroking ??'s

Ethanol won't make much more power at the same airflow level than gasoline, they are about the same, unlike methanol that makes about 15% more HP. But with ethanol you can crank up the boost and make more power that way.

Re: Stroking ??'s

I've been doing some testing with ethanol lately and imo I like it a lot. In my real world experience I'm not losing a lot of fuel economy at all. Proabably 10%. I'm tuning using dsmlink and boy this gas will let me hold 35psi with .04 degrees of knock at 17 degrees peak timing. That is awsome. I havn't tried rasing the timing up but it feels like I could probably advance the timing a degree or two. Although after reading more about this fuel it seems to like lower timing but you can advance it higher due to the higher octane level. I'll probably dyno tune my car with this stuff. With this stuff at $1.95 right now I can't say no.

Thank you. Real world data instead of text book crap and conjecture. Looks like I'll have to try some real soon.

Re: Stroking ??'s

The only thing holding me back is my fuel setup (walbro 255 hp & 950cc injctrs). IDCs are 100% at around 30psi. Even at 35psi IDCs are way past 100% (110-115%) and it still doesn't knock. I'm proabably leaning out very badly but it still doesn't knock and shows how cool this gas is.
