Email sent via Ruger link. That is a pure BS law. We are supposed to surrender our weapons and magazines and not even get any compensation?? How can that be legal?
I dont understand how this law would ever pass, but if it does, somehow, someway, if you have purchased an AR style rifle or large capacity magazines before Feb 1st 2013 you will be grandfathered in as long as you have legally registered it and do not transfer or sell them to anyone. Then you can legally possess it and use it.
I highly doubt they will get anywhere with it. I sure as hell hope not at least!

This bill could make every ruger 10/22 owner in the state a felon!
Almost every gun made nowadays holds more than 7rds

Where did you read this? It states high capacity magazines must be removed from the state or destroyed. No registration for magazines. Have fun finding a mag for your AR that holds 7 rounds or less
And registration is the 1st step towards confiscation

Yeah I just read the magazine statute. I saw it on the Assault Weapon Ban #241. It only says Assault Rifles purchased before 2.1.2013. Read it wrong and thought that included magazines until I read #243 that prohibits large capacity magazines.

Someone is going to go on a shooting rampage with 100 - 7rd clips and then we will be forced to surrender those rendering our ARs to single shot rifles.
So fucking bullshit. I dont know how this would even pass. So many people are for the 2nd amendment. How can they change that legally. Fuckers!

I really don't think it can pass, but seriously glad I don't live in MN anymore.
Edit: Also, the bill excludes .22 mags, no need to worry about the plinkers :jackoff:

I sure hope you guys are right on it not passing. This is the harshest gun grap attempt yet in this nation. Remind these people that they will lose their seat if this passes. Although losing my rights for their job is nowhere near a fair trade.
And the only .22's that are exempt from 7rds are tube fed guns

I would love to hear Al Franken tell that to the 32 people that lost their lives at Virginia Tech. I love how uneducated legislators are about guns, but want to regulate them anyway.

Google NY SAFE. The scary thing is, SAFE already passed. They pushed it through in 20 minutes.
The federal awb Diane Frankenstein bill already has 20 cosponsors! Two of them are Klobuchar and Franken.
I sure hope everyone who cares is emailing, snail mailing and calling their reps.

I've called each of them individually, but here is also a very simple way to reach them all at once!
Go to Ruger's website and fill in your information. It will automatically generate a letter to every single representative for your area.
