I also have a leftover parts tranny, a 1g. I'd let the whole thing go for cheap if you need it.

My Uber-built TRE trans is still up in the air as far as waranty also, if it gets warranteed from Jon, it will bolt onto your car if you would be interested. It has a 2g bell housing.

Ive known jake for many years. were friends and i now do all my own work on my DSM. he shot himself in the foot years back and made shit rough for himself. In this case he didnt screw cam over and in this case hes on the up and up, just for those wondering

SO far, the only good/bad guy transaction i have to leave feedback on is Mo.
My transactions with him are complete.

Speedfreak (Mo) is a good guy, he made the mistake, admitted it, and went out of his way to make it right. I wish i would have known that it wasn't the right centerdiff for the evo3 gears but that was my mistake for not researching more before purchasing it. I agreed to buy it so i did. Hopefully TRE will be able to switch out the housing without charging me the whole $245....

Feedback will be left on TRK mark after TRE gets my transmission and let's me know the rundown (like if the intermediate shaft was damaged by putting the wrong center diff in) but so far i have a lot to explain.

Feedback will be left on jake after we get the transmission back and he installs it into my car but so far jake is a "good guy" in this transaction, it's just not complete yet.

Mark good or bad buy? well see...

Jon from TRE called me today,
He explained that the way mark assembled the transmission never would have ran.

The 4-spider wouldn't match up to the 3rd and 4th gear, and the 5th and R wouldn't have shifted.

He also said that mark underestimated how clean a transmission build needs to be and with as much debris/gunk that he left in there would have caused it to fail.

I need a new 4-spider (the early trans 4spider i have will be for sale cheap once it comes back from TRE) and a new intermediate shaft.

He said that i should replace the 1st and 2nd that i got from mark because they are the crappiest 1st and 2nd available and the 2nd is single synchro. Mark told me that it was a double synchro TRE 2nd gear from a TRE transmission... The 1st and 2nd mark put in were not from a TRE transmission, Jon said they had the fiber synchros on them.

I gave mark $350 for all the parts i would need from that "TRE" donor transmission and $200 to put it together. I know he wasted his own time and gas putting it together and driving it half way to me so i'm not looking for a refund.

Just looking for him to do something to make it right.
