well the car has come a long way since my last post.
The car runs!!
Thanks to Jim for an EVO 9 fuel pump, brandon for putting in a whole day's work with me and being determined to get that car started.
Short status update till I upload pics and get more time to sit, but the car is alive it made it to primo and back yesterday. There were some weird noises up front on my side, but I have bolts in the frame that aren't holding anything and the noise was dependent on speed not RPM, so I'm happy about that.
The car needs: brakes (have 2G setup, needs rotors and pads), coolant temp sensor. It has oil leaks from: T-case output shaft seal (7 yrs of sitting helped that I'm sure), turbo return line (I have a gasket somewhere), oil pan somewhere, I think oil filter housing ( I didn't use a new gasket because I'm cheap and I have an oil cooled setup to install.)
OK, well I'll be back tonight with pics and a real update.
PS, I'm tired of working on this thing, I want to get to the fun stuff already. :kane:

Thanks dude.
Drove it a couple of miles to my cousins place, no problems but that coolant temp. sensor makes cold starts a PITA.
Here is the stock fuel pump:

Here is some old gas about 7+ yrs old:

So I took a look under the car after I worked on the ranger a little bit and I found that have some mysterious leak from above the T-case and its rust colored, not sure what to think about that since the coolant is clean.
Transmission appears to be leaking also from the pass. side axle it has a weird plate their that got pryed on so I think that F'd it.
Next steps are to switch to a air-cooled oil filter housing and cooler setup. I have a complete stock setup to put on the car at which time I will replace the OFH gasket and that should solve that leak.
The turbo return line gasket leaks and I know I have one around so I will replace that at the same time.
I'm getting burned out on working on it, I really want to get to some sweet stuff. Hopefully this weekend I will have my boost gauge and stereo in, so that will hopefully feel a lot better, I might throw in my speakers I have too.

Hang in there. Once the modding begins you know you'll love it. Thank god I bought the colt with ALL the maintenance done already.

I think it drove pretty damn good to Primo overall. If the stereo worked you would have never heard that "noise" :) It's coming together, and the Auto seems to be shifting well.
Let me know if you need anything else. Get that Alpine in there!!
Also I'm pretty sure I have a coolant sensor. I forgot which one you need though. I know it's one of the two prong ones. Is it the one on the upper half or lower half of the thermo housing?

Sounds good.
Boy, progress is sure slow when you clean every part, chase every thread, lots of tedious stuff putting this back together. And it's been so long since I've had anything near a stock setup, I have to look at pictures to remember how things like the stock alternator bracket goes.
