yeah i dunno, i call it a useless gift
i just remember jet talking about his "secret lightweight roadster thing" all he said was that it was very close to a lotus elise.
if you read the thread jet then says booo to the attack, and says he's gonna go with this

Yeah, it is no real secret. I just didn't want it spread everywhere in case I changed my mind, like I did. I am pretty set on the GTM Mulsanne now. Kits won't be readily available until 2006 which should be about right for me having the $20k to buy the kit. Then add in $10k for a donor car and $8k for a built tranny. Ouch! Then there is the turbo stuff, stand alone, etc. It will definately be an ongoing project.

My current car is 2700 lbs, AWD and has 600+ whp (haven't hit the dyno with the new setup, should be ~650 whp).

Really, how come none of us have ever seen this car?

My car should be close to that in weight (maybe high 2700's) and I better have at least 600 whp (once it gets back together). I said that it wasn't on the dyno with the new setup. It isn't like I said that I dyno'd it already and got that.

but then again, he said ~ and said it didn't hit the dyno, as well as aproximate.. so no ripping is necessary i guess..

Oh no, commence with the ripping We take great fun in ripping each other apart! Besides, it is pretty well known by now that you have to have pretty thick skin to hang with this group. Sallies usually don't last very long which makes me wonder how your still here E.

JET- what will you be using for a tranny? Over 600whp won't do much good if the drivetrain won't hold it. I don't remember who it was, but Brian told me that someone with alot of power was always breaking shit at Rock Falls. Maybe it was Shane. I don't remember all your names just a few that Brian talked about. When i used to have my GST i always dream of turning the engine so it was parallel to the rest of the car like a Supra or Skyline. I heard of guys that were working on it but then never heard from them thereafter. Our shop definately has the means to making such a car but i don't want my car down for a year and further don't feel like turing it into an all out drag car. If i can get 450whp out of mine and she holds i'll be happy. Anyway, just wondering what you plan on using for a tranny.
