Plug wires on right? Timing belt on right? Cams will make it idle rough, but it should rev.

Sounds like your timing belt is off a little.

What do you mean it wont run above 2200? Does it die or just miss/buck like hell?

Maybe there is a malfuntion with the TMO ECU's Stuttrbox/rev limiter?

Did you run the modded ECU before you built this motor or is it new aswell?

This doesn't happen very often, but it sounds like it may be the analog ground inside the ECU.Unplug the ECU, take a multimeter and test for continuity between pins 24 and 106, then check between pins 17 and 106.Lie I said, this is a long shot, but this is pretty much exactly what happens when the analog ground fries in the ECU.Other than that, it could be the old DSM capacitor problem, bad caps will have a different effects/symptoms on nearly every ECU.

I'm thinking ECU as well. Try unplugging your stutterbox clutch wire if you have it hooked up.

1g or 2g? If it is a 2g, check to make sure the MAS plug is connected all the way. We had the same symptoms on James' 2g.

EDIT: looking at your mods again, I am guessing it is a 1g. Check the plug anyhow.
