A 1G head so that the airflow doesn't hit a big wall might help. It might be hard to fit in there also, if you have A/C.

Try to sell the thing for more than you paid for it and just get a 1g intake.

No, the normal 1g intake manifolds are better. The cyclone ones don't flow more and they are a pain to deal with.

From what I've heard compared to the 1g it flows less on the high end but low end better/faster spool. Not sure how accurate that is, I've heard something of a canister used when hooking them up? seems to be a good reference.DSMTuners

From my experience, I saw absolutely no gains from the Cyclone intake on a 93 Talon....if anything, it's a downgrade in my opinion.

It is a proven downgrade for top-end power.

Since he asked what he needs to install it and not how it compares to others....

The cyclone is designed to give better LOW end, while keeping a decent top end.It has a valve that switches between either high velocity runners or high flow runners.For it to work properly you need some electronics to actuate the valve at the correct RPM.I'd recommend just buying a RPM adjustable nitrous switch, and using that to actuate the solenoid.

There is one spot out there that hadf a before and after dyno of going to a "cyclone" manifold from a 1G intake manifold and there was 1 more torque out of the cyclone. definatly not worth the swap. Get a 1G intake manifold or save money till you can get a sheet metal intake manifold.
