You should call them up and file a complaint. You might just get some money back or something at least. They have no right to treat your mail like shit, even more if its expenseive.

Sad thing is, Fed Ex probably isn't to blame here. It's the way it is packaged from the place you bought it from. If they took the time to really do it right (an extra 2-3 min) you would have been fine. Extra padding, extra tape, and a 2 cent fragile sticker on both sides goes a long way.

It could go both ways, but Fed Ex also has the ability to tape/fix up any damaged or poorly packaged items. Like I said before, it could go both ways

well, now that the damage is done, you can take it like a man and get busy with a couple of small flatblade screwdrivers or call and complain to fed ex and all you will hear is, "we can't help you".

Already called, getting the FMIC has been a nightmare! It was misshipped twice, went back to houston, then to CALIFORNIA!
I made it clear to them that I would be calling if the box or product was damaged! Updated new pics for anyone who cares.
Another new folder
New Pics
EDIT: page 3 on the new folder has the good pics of the Brackets that are bent.

Definetly call and complain. did you also call the company you bought it from to tell them what happened?

Holy :censored: , that's gotta be one of the worst damaged packages I've seen. It looks like it fell out the truck while they were going down the road and then got run over. If I were the delivery man I would feel embarassed to leave that thing at the door. I hate FedEx with a passion though, UPS isn't much better but at least if I'm not home to get my package I can go pick it up someplace in the evening. The nearest FedEx ground facility is almost an hour away so that is out of the question. There is a little FedEx building near my house though and I went in there to find my package only to find out that was an "Air" delivery building only. So if something comes FedEx ground I have to sign the little peice of paper and let them leave it at the door and hope it's still there when I get home. I realize FedEx is cheaper but to me it's not worth the 3 dollar savings to have to deal with this crap. Ok this rant has kinda gone awry, I guess I needed to vent. Anyway, I hope you get some sort of reconciliation.

I ordered a OEM 2.0L motor from Conecelli the first year I bought my car (was told I had crankwalk and I didn't know any better, turns out it was just the crank pulley)

Anyways it was shipped UPS but when it showed up at Speedwerks the Crate it had been packaged in had fallen off a shelf or something. The plastic bag that was covering the motor tore and it must have sat at the angle it landed on the entire trip from Ohio (or where ever conecelli is)

The edge of the block was messed up. There was dirt, dust and Crap all over the pistons and one of the wooden crate edges had a nail in it and had gotten bashed around in one of the Cylinder walls so it was scratched up.

The UPS guy tried to deliver it, I wouldn't except the package. When we filled a complaint UPS said they wouldn't cover the return shipping cost. And conecelli said the same thing. So after 2 weeks of bickering. I finally filled with the BBB on both company's and I called both company's to tell them I did.

Well Conecelli immediately paid for return shipping and refunded me all my money.
(luckly it was CC and I also called them and canceled payment on it)

here's an idea - grab the bracket, pull lightly to straighten, install on car.

Umm, the bracket aint budgin.. .if it was that easy I WOULD!
That last shitty FMIC i had would EASLY bent, this one WILL NOT! This is a very nice IC! Very good quality!

Talked with vendor today and told them he has to file claim with fedex, as hes the shipper, then he got defensive, saying that hes not at fault. He called me back saying he filed a claim and that it gonna take several weeks to resolve. I called him back and told him I WILL not wait several weeks, as this showed up 2 weeks late already. I told him he can do 3 things, Refund my money, give me a discount on this one, or I will return it and cancel my credit card payment. He told me he was looking into getting more ASAP, but they are on backorder.

Fast Forward to tonght.... He makes a post on SRT forums that they are coming in stock tomorrow for others to buy.... I will be calling him in the AM and making him Overnight one to me so I have it on by fri night...
Ive been only working on getting a FMIC for what... 2 months!?

And yes I know looking at the pics its easy to say "bend it back" and no Cher.. vice grips wont work... trust me.. They will not bend back easily.. and I will not pay $800 for a FMIC that i have to "bend back" to fit my car.

Updates tomorrow.

yeah, considering the cost, you should have gotten a non-messed up I/C and packaging and shipping are to blame. sorry to hear it.

I Did, sent it back, was a POS... I could easyly bend the brackets on that IC

This one the way it sits is 10X better! Welds are FLAWLESS! Pipes are THICK and have recessed lip for the IC hoses, not "welded" tabs or anything. Brackets are THICK and very sturdy, Endtanks are AWESOME! I am VERY impressed with this IC and cant wait to get the damn thing on.
