ford camero? what?

ok so today i was waiting to get picked up after school, becasue my foot is broken, and i was talking to a few people.

one kid i've know for a while come up to me and says hey cole whats up?, and we had a conversation about just random things like school sports and what not.

then he metions to me that he had gotten a new car, and i was pretty surprised what i heard. in his cockyness he said " a ford.. what?" to make himself seem amazing for it. so he continues to tell me about how he dual super charged it, and i was interested, so i asked what kind of ford is it? he told me it was a 99 camero wtf? so knowing now that it was complete bulls*** i start asking questions to pass time while keeping my self amused. i was telling him how he should make sure he gets some good internals if he's going to be running a setup like that, and that i'd probably go with some forged internals and so on. he said he had all that stuff. and that he has two big tanks of NOS in the trunk that are hooked up, and tells me some corny story. so i decided to ask him if he has ever had it put on a dyno. he told me he did at napa and that it ran 965 hp and that he was just trying to get 1000+

so i don't know about any of you guys, but i guess i didn't know ford made the camero and that any street car would be able to run that much hp on a stock setup, if at all. hmmmm must me one rich kid with one amazing car right?

haha some ppl amaze me with the things they can say.

Was he dead serious? I mean i've encountered some dumb kids, but holy crap. If he was serious, then idk how you didn't fall on the ground laughing. I enjoy watching guys try to impress people (mainly girls) with there vast automotive knowledge. I just sit back, relax, and try not to cry laughing. It's the best haha.

haha i like idk i couldn't laugh, i was just in shock of what he had said. but yeah the kid is dead serious. i think im goin to ask about the engine tomorrow. you gotta love dumb people, i just have realized there are alot more of them at my school.

The best was going to an automotive school (apparently the best one in the country), and listening to how dumb the people there were. There was a good chunk of actual car guys, but then there was some straight up ruh-tards. I drove my laser there one day, and it had a talon body conversion. A guy walked up to me and said, "oh man!! Is this a talon twin turbo? I love these cars!" I cut him some slack, since he wasn't bashing my pride and joy, but I said back, "it's only got the one turbo, what made ya think it was twin turbo?" He went on to say that since I had 2 turbo stickers, that it must have had 2 of them. I hadn't removed the oem laser stickers, and had the turbo stickers on my talon sideskirts...some people use there brains, but just not at it's full potential...hahaha

Rolling on the Floor Laughing . . . ! Ok we should officially make a thread called Retard Poser Story's or something like that. Ha This Kid in my school got this chip from A RANDOM GUY! I asked em 10 Times what it did. He didnt explain to me at all except for his VTEC kicked in HARDER?? LIKE ummm ok. . .

I Finally see him in the lunchroom and forced him to explain to me what it did. He answer well you know its these two wires that go into my manifold and its like a chip. It does what a performance chip does. . . you know like the one you got! At that point i was just cracking up inside. . . Yet he is my friend so i didn't laugh in his Face. I was upset he didnt talk to me or his other friends that somewhat know something about cars!!! But decided to drop a Hundo on a chip or whatever the heck that thing is.

i was told by a kid at my school that he's boring his engine out to 402 hp? wow i guess im learing new things everyday.

He paid $100 for a $0.10 resistor that he wired into the air temp sensor on his intake manifold?

The funny thing to is 90% of the time when VTEC "kicks harder" is because the tune is screwed up and its losing all kinds of power to the point that VTEC turns on. You should hear VTEC but not feel it, unless you have some huge aftermarket cams that don't allow the crossover to be smooth.

I asked for insight while i was talking to him at launch. he avoided my question. So his V8 buddy that drives this giant truck! Started arguing with me about how you can make more power WITHOUT having to adjust Fuel Or Air intake at All??? I asked him what do you run in a 1/4 he says 13nz. . . lol yet he got beat horrible by a Honda Prelude a STOCK one. Excuss my Subbs and a automatic tranny.

Im not a guy that likes to argue. There was no way i was going to sit back and have him tell me you can make power without more fuel and air!!! These people TALK SO MUCH making it sound like they no EVERYTHING!
