Ksports vs. Tokico

Will I notice a significant improvement in handling if I upgrade my Tokico HP shocks/springs to a Ksports setup?

I want to start doing occasional autox events, but not be competitive, just more of a fun thing. I usually don't drive my car on a daily basis, but it is my only vehicle and I do take multi hour trips on regular occasion.

I've heard a lot of good & bad things lately about them, and want to decide before I go and possibly buy them tomorrow. Basically I want to know if they're going to be that much better ($400 better specifically, haha)? Or would an upgrade to adjustable Tokico shocks be a better option? Or save for something better like Konis down the road?

Oh yea, my car already has aftermarket swaybars, strut tower braces, and stuff like that, would there be something better to upgrade before coilovers?

Re: Ksports vs. Tokico

The adjustable Tokico's are nice. I don't think it would be a horrible idea to go with the k sports, a lot of people like them and dislike them as well. Personally I would go for a higher end coilover if I was going to do it. My old roommate had k sports on his RX-7, they looked well built and did a good job. Then you hear quite a few bad reviews about them as well. Not sure if it is people just keeping the stiffness too high for road use or what.

They will definitely handle better than your current setup. I'd lean more towards getting the adjustable Tokico shocks, but everyone is different so I say go ahead with your plan to get the K-Sports and if you decide you don't like them get something else.

I have the illumina tokico kit with the springs and I am satisfied with them.

Re: Ksports vs. Tokico

Since you already have upgraded suspention it might not be worth it. One of the biggest improvements I noticed when I switched from the stock 4X4 suspention to K sports was the reduced body roll. It made the car much easier to predict, and I could make directional changes much quicker. With bars and stiffer springs your probably already most of the way there.
