If you do purchase it, how do you plan on getting it to Minnesota from New York?

Re: What do you guys know about Cobra SVT's?
Their interiors are up to standard Ford quality and stuff is guaranteed to fall off in your hand, but if you can live with that they can be made fast as hell and they sound wicked mean.

Yea I was looking at them also last fall, and sure the can be quick but the quality is just not up to my standards... the interior is just too cheap looking. As S2k said its standard ford Quality
Jakey- I would assume he would fly there and drive it back... what does that have to do with anything anyway? Im sure he saw that it was in NY..

Should be a good winter car... JK! I like the ford cobra's.... my friend had one and it hauled ass. And the convertable scores points with chicks.... but I'm a fan of AWD and always will be.

The fact that gas isn't cheap and flight prices have been going through the roof recently so extra expenses could add up rather quickly in the MN-->NY-->MN journey.

Re: What do you guys know about Cobra SVT's?
Just scoping out some other possible options right now, really depends on what the results the "Good Doctor" <Swanny> can come up with next weekend on my 98 Tsi AWD Auto.
You'd think with the mods I've put in the past couple years< FP T-28, Apexi N1 turboback, Fic 650's, DSMLINK, PLX-300, 3500 IPT Stall, IPT ValveBody, Translab shift kit, new endclutchs, Tranny Cooler, FMIC, Intake &TCUGO> I'd see some good gains, but I'm thinking of maybe moving to an Evo, or a 3S, or a WICKED 1G, or a Supercharged Cobra/Saleen or a maybe even a Buick Grand National.
At this very second I'm leaning twords a Cobra, but that could change like the wind, blonds, brunettes, red heads, Love em all, or ah, I mean I ah..used to when I was ahh...single........yeah....;->
Oh and I'd fly anywhere, no problem.......for the RIGHT deal!

Re: What do you guys know about Cobra SVT's?
If you want a car with huge potential then the Corba is a good choice. The other cars you listed are good choices as well but I have always wanted a 03-04 Cobra so my opinion may be a little biased.

Yep, they are like the domestic version of the Supra. Boosted from the factory with a motor that can handle all kinds of power.

One of the guys over at automotiveforums.com got one when he sold his broken down GST. He really likes it, IIRC he pushing like 350 to the wheels after exhaust alone.

I called the guy, he said it's 100% straight?
It DOES sound very cheap though, like too cheap to be true?
Don't know got talk to "High Command" at home tonight first, I will probably have to sell my Tsi first if I want to buy anything else?
If you not single, you know the drill.....;->

Most people don't sell legitimate cars for $15k below blue book.

Sad, but true, ether this seller is very lame or another sly scammer, makes me very nervous. I doubt I'm going to bite on this deal, it stinks like a scam to much to me. If it was across town or state maybe worth checking but meeting in way out New York City you might run into some serious problems.

Re: What do you guys know about Cobra SVT's?
it should be checked out in person, because my friend has a Sentra Spec-V that was from New York, and that tranny broke within a month. so, heads up. But i wouldnt mind a Cobra SVT though
