Racing a new 350z
So I decided to be stupid last night on 394 eastbound... I was going around 60 when this gray 350z pulls up quick on my tail and starts messing around with me. So I have a little fun, but not too much because there was a little traffic. 4 guys around 16-18 years old were in it, ended up going a little too fast nearing downtown, lucky there were no cops around, would have lost my license for sure.
Anyway, they gave my car a run for its money. It was pretty close, I could just edge them out just a little from a 60-90mph pull. They refused to go from a stop downtown, probably for the best.
Didn't think the 350Zs were that fast, kinda surprising.

Re: Racing a new 350z
4 guys? They are 2-seaters. A little Brokeback Z going on if you ask me
They are quick cars, they should trap right in the low 100's stock.

That they are not, they might trap 100ish if lucky. Is your car very close to stock then?

1996 Tsi AWD, FP T28, exhaust, FMIC, S-AFC
Thats his mod list from the dyno thread. The outcome of his race sounds about right for his mods.

Re: Racing a new 350z
Stock 350Zs put down around 235whp. The base model ones weigh about the same as a 2G DSM.

Re: Racing a new 350z
Only 2 seats... true... guess it must have been the Infinity G35 coupe, I know they look a lot alike and I think they Infinity has a back seat. I just assumed from the body style it was a Z, didn't think much into it.
Those mods listed are correct.

How much boost were you running on the T28? Stock injectors? Just curious...

Re: Racing a new 350z
As long as we are talking about 350Z's, does anyone on here own the one that is always parked at Elite? It has some sweet rims on it. I always see it there on my way to my practice space.
