Re: 4g!
I was thinking that as well... but would that really account for the huge amount of difference? I don't know at all how much a cat makes a difference, but it would have to be like 10whp to even make the difference that I am lacking.
But maybe it would? I dunno... haha.

Re: 4g!
How much is the RIPP supercharger going to be? Any other dynos by someone else on a different dyno with their supercharger? I guess it's a pretty big motor and the base HP and gains are similar to 2000 Mustang GT with a centrifugal blower.
I don't know WTF that BRAT does or how it does it. They really like to talk in circles about it. It only seems to connector to 1 sensor on the 4G, and it isn't even the main MAF sensor or O2 sensors.

Re: 4g!
Supercharger is about 4000. Give or take shipping.
I don't know how the BRAT does what it does, but I know it's only a piggyback.

Re: 4g!
Found a deal for 500-600ish for brembo f/r calipers and rotors. I'm second on his list, first deal he said was pending but has been pending for a while, told him i'm ready to pay as soon as he gives the word so hopefully he'll just pass up the other person if they keep him waiting.

I have seen the RIPP products before and they have progressed further and further for the good. They were trying to supply the 3s crowd a while ago and I think there were two or three people on 3si that had the setups. I think I remember a dark maroon colored SL that still has it installed. The BRAT box your talking about is supposed to be for newer OBD systems that have the ECU relearn issues. This supposedly tells the computer that it does not need to relearn and also allows you to tune with piggyback. Love the new Tails and Im not sure if you had the halos on the headlights back at the cookout. I think you should keep your exhaust setup and get a high flow cat or straight pipe it/o2 simulators all the way back and then dyno it again and see what you gain.(my opinion) Good luck with the 4G modding hopefully youll get closer to your goals!

Yeah hopefully ill have my car sold within the next month and pick up a nice stealth or dsm :-). I know a guy with a 3l swapped CSVT for a good price but I dont know if I can do another FWD car. I hated going from a 300zx to a cougar in the first place lol but thats college. Ill be at the cookout for sure and if ya want to get pics and stuff I can probably make it I have a decent kodak cam too.

Gonna need a pro wingman like you fa sho.
Anyways... back to all that drama over the RIPP numbers. Upon further research and what-not, it appears they use a dyno dynamic, but adjust it to match typical dyno jet numbers. So the 20+whp I thought I might have been missing with my headers vs RIPP's headers is probably almost all attributed to the difference between a REAL dyno dynamic and a dynojet.
This ALSO means the RIPP Supercharger is realistically 350ish on say DB's dyno. With my automatic anyway.
Go figure it was a dyno confusion, eh? haha.. seems to always be that.

Re: 4g!
350whp on a Dyno Dynamics is still a lot of power!

Re: 4g!
Oh yeah, for sure. I didn't mean to kind of play that down, but I dunno... it seems a lot less... amazing? now... more realistic. Basically 90-100whp for $4,000, instead of almost 150whp.
