Re: 4g!

Its too bad that the Eclipse doesn't use OpenECU like the Evo does. Your car is a sharp looking 4G, everything you've done so far is tasteful and well planned.

I thinking you may be best off w/o the complete suspension bushing kit. They are a real pain to install and definitely make the ride more jarring. After the strut braces and swaybars I think you'll be very happy with the handling. Is there a reason why you have already picked the brands of the strut brace and swaybar? I'm not second guessing you, just curious as to what you found in researching.

Getting rid of the remaining cat will definitely be a good thing and the CAI come spring should be nice since your air filter is sitting directly behind the radiator right now (bad thing for all cars, especially NA).

If your wheels are really that light thats great! My 18's weigh in at 24 lbs each. That will help offset the weight you'll be adding with the Evo brakes. I'm always down for some install work so just let us know!

I think I agree with your advice on the bushings... mostly because I don't plan to autocross, at least I don't plan on it as of right now, so I want nice suspension, but I don't want the jarring like you mentioned. I think the strut bar and sway bar will mostly just be tightening my cornering and not changing my cruising drive quality at all, but I could be wrong. My ride is already really stiff being that i'm lowered really low, I don't want to sacrifice TOO much more because of the 1 hour each way commute. And also yeah I read a bit into the install and it sounds like a major pain, especially for something I might complain about afterwards...

As far as how I came across the specific products, the 4G market is small, and I believe the only available sway bar right now is by Progress, the only specifics I know on it is it's 24mm and adjustable.

As for the strut bar, there is a Cusco version and a Tanabe offering as well, and i'll need to do more research on this possibly, but I believe the Cusco is a thicker bar, and RRE chose it over the Tanabe in their Ralliart build, so i'm basically going with it for that reason. I still need to do some more light reading before I purchase that specific one.

Eibach (sp?) I believe is releasing a kit sometime in feb, with a 25mm rear sway, so it might benefit me to wait and see what that has to offer, so I might wait for that, but thats also probably subject to being pushed back, which is a common trend so far for this platform.
