Momin, I'm not referring to Muslims with that statement at all, I was referring to the bulk of the more extreme liberals, most of which I'd say are white. I'm thinking of one person on another car board in particular.

You can prove you are God? I'm impressed. BTW, a lot of atheists seem to change their mind near death. Maybe all that narcissism is just for show.

Oh yeah, you talk to a lot of athiests right before they die? Was there a group of athiests polled right before they died "Hello sir, do you believe in god now? Thank you for playing a part in this poll, enjoy the afterlife"
And what part of my comment did i say that i can prove that I am god??? WTF?
Just for show? no, sorry i have trouble believing in fairy tales that were written when people still thought the world was flat.

Re: Simply brilliant - mosque @ Ground Zero
Who gives a fuck about the Mosque; its not going to change anything, but Mo you can't fault people for being critical of the extremists (and their religion) who attacked our country and killed thousands. Unless they are well educated on that religion or are very very open minded they are going to follow the media or their peers into being against building a building that promotes the religion that killed 3000 Americans on 9/11.
And encase you didn't know the extremists believe in collateral damage so they could give a fuck less if there was 50% Muslim and 50% other in that building, the point was to hit America where it hurt, and they succeeded. Its too bad that others that exercise the same religion as them have to reep the consequences but that's life, big deal.
Every post I have ever read on the internet since 9/11 that was made by someone who is Muslim has never chastised the extremists for doing what they did, but in most cases find themselves defending the fact that there are good Muslims and bad ones and you can't lump them all together. No shit, that's obvious.
But the last time I checked I don't see Grandpa and Grandma that are Lutheran going and commandeering a plane and flying it into shit.
I practice no religion, that's my choice, I think its all bullshit and doesn't change anything, it's a source of controversy that I stay far far away from.
If a Mosque is built in New York, it won't be there long, there are some crazy mother fuckers out there.

I refuse to sit here and let you talk down on religion. When you can prove that there is or isn't a God, please let me know. You just struck a nerve with me and you need to watch what you say from now on.

LOL, Just coming back at what Hill was stating about Athiesm. Sorry it struck a nerve with you, but it struck a nerve with me for what he said. So explaining my views i will not apologise for.
And by saying "Fuck all your religions" is to be taken more like "With all the BS that comes from organised religion, it is my personal belief that there are a lot of people out there that take religion word for word as the truth, i chose a different path of logical reasoning and not following blind faith without proof"

Re: Simply brilliant - mosque @ Ground Zero
Lets all play nice as far as religion is concerned. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and to not have their beliefs (Christian, Atheist, Muslim, no opinion, etc.) trampled on by others.

Re: Simply brilliant - mosque @ Ground Zero
How many times does it have to be repeated that it isn't a mosque, and it's not at ground zero?

Was that directed toward me? On the link it starts off with Ground Zero Mosque, but mainly for the current Buzz word that fox news constantly uses, (rolls of the tongue better than Ground Zero Islamic center for the performing arts (ok i added the last 4 words but you get the point)). Isnt it funny that the main people shouting "OH NOES NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD" are the people getting paid by the person funding the Islamic center (for the performing arts (its gonna catch on i know it)).

No, wasn't directed at you, just in general. I honestly can't even tell who is for or against it anymore, or why anyone is against it for that matter.

I am for letting them build it, as it is not insensitive to the victims, its not on ground zero property, and not that it matters but its not a mosque. To me, this is all a political shade to raise hatred toward a LARGE group of people for what a small group within the large group did.
And talking heads calling it a Mosque ON ground zero, is implying that its going to be built on the grounds of where the towers used to stand. Which not only is it false, but its same type of propaghanda that hitler used to make the germans think that Jews were bad.
