You could do it without the above stuff, but you would be using a smaller turbo, smaller injectors, and a worse manifold. Also the AT cams are strong in the mid RPM band, where the MT cams are strong at the high RPM band(as strong as stock cams can be).

If I were to do the swap on a 1G I wouldn't do it to stock MT parts though, I would upgrade from there(2G exh mani, 550's or bigger, 16G or bigger, EPROM ECU). To me it doesn't make sense to upgrade from AT to MT parts while doing the swap unless any of the parts were bad or you had a good line on those parts for cheap and working well.
