I know a weld in is the best way to go for weight and strength. I just didn't want to have to remove all of the carpet, padding, interior, dash, etc. to do welding and painting.

With a bolt-in kit I could check for fit and do the drilling and such, then paint it outside of the car and install it for good.

This is just the early stages of me trying to think this out, so I'm sure I'll change my mind in every direction several times.

I could really care less if it had a cage or not, just trying to have something in the car to be able to race it at the local tracks.
