The EVO MR does not have a new turbo, it is the same 16G.  They are getting more power by upping the boost to a peak of 20.x.

Wrong the turbo nozzle was made bigger and the wastegate flapper is now an oval. I don't think that gives it much of a power gain though, but it is different. Yes, they did raise the boost too for the 5hp power gain (probably under rated).

In a magazine the MR and Sti made the same hp!
