Re: Living in South Carolina? Let me hear it!

I have a 2400sq foot, 4 bedroom , 2 car garage house.
Market today is $150,000
I pay $680/yr in house taxes
$600/yr for insurance

I pay- $32/yr for taxes on my eclipse

My mother has a 3200sq house bought brand new 4yrs ago. Paid 220,000 for it.

Hell if you want lake front property , 3 bedroom,2 car. With basement, with the producer of the jack ass movies as your neighbor , year round boating etc, My wife's grandparents house is for sale for $285,000 asking price.

THIS. That's insane and awesome value. Yesterday I posted a prank status about moving like so just to stir the pot haha

"I didn't wanna tell everyone through facebook, but today, I received a call on a position that I interviewed for. I'm happy but also it's bitter sweet to leave Minnesota. I am announcing that I decided to accept this position and relocate to Texas. I think it'll be a good move. A new start with new beginnings. We will be heading out sooner then expected by January 10th. They offered a great income, along with a furnished apartment, all I have to do is pick out our furniture. I would have texted everyone individually, but I thought it would be easier to post it on Facebook. All of you are awesome and I promise that I will never forget any of you, nor the amazing memories. I'm going to miss every single one of you. I promise to stay in touch, especially because this isn't real and you should post it as your status and see how many people actually read stuff till the end."

My family wasn't enthused but over Christmas, we will for sure be looking at how long until they move and where, and it that's the case it will influence the peace of mind about it for me.

That said, I can't afford Texas though is has my heart. I have family visiting from the Carolina's that I forgot live over there frankly, or as close to where I had in mind anyway, since I haven't heard from them since they left Green Bay/Fox River. So it might just be the best way I can go to Myrtle and the rest of the area and still catch some solid vaca touristy stuff and enjoy the road trip.
